Zonguldak Uzun Mehmet Mosque

For Zonguldak Uzun Mehmet Mosque, the objective was to establish a strong nighttime presence while keeping visual comfort at the center of the worship experience. Public visibility and user intimacy were developed as parallel goals.
Interior lighting layers separate general illumination from architectural accents, allowing the main prayer volume to remain calm and legible. Exterior highlights strengthen silhouette and orientation in the urban context.
The system integrates flexible controls for different occupancy patterns and seasonal daylight shifts.
